Did you know it’s National Botox Day?
Botox is one of the most well-known injectables on the market…but many of its myriad applications—like nose slimming, jaw treatment, and neck lifts—are not very well known. Since we’re recognizing the impact it’s had on the world, we thought we would focus on it in today’s blog post.
Most commonly, Botox has been used for issues like forehead lines, brow furrows, and lip lines. That’s because Botox targets one of the underlying causes of these facial lines: the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows over the years. Instead of adding a product to recreate what’s missing, like filler does, Botox takes away the source of those frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines.
At GoodSkin Clinics, we take a different approach to this neurotoxin—beyond just treating wrinkles. Our Botox techniques focus on retraining muscles to improve lift and symmetry for a more genuine and lively appearance.
Botox for Uneven Eyes (Ptosis) is a fast, effective treatment that doesn’t involve surgery. By placing Botox in specific areas, we have the ability to make the eyes (and brows) more symmetrical—and correct overarched brows from treatments done elsewhere.
Botox for Nose Slimming is becoming more and more popular, as the treatments can help improve the appearance of the nose without going under the knife. Botox to slim the nose is not about physically altering the shape of the nose, as with a surgical rhinoplasty…. We also use Botox to lift the nasal tip.
Chin Botox is a non-invasive way to smooth the chin and restore its youthful contours. Both men and women can benefit from Botox for chin reduction.
We wrote about our Botox Jawline Reduction recently. It is a safe, non-surgical method to relieve stress on the jaw from clenching and grinding.
Moving further down the dermis, we have also treated clients with our Botox Neck Lift. This specialized technique helps to prevent aging in the lower face - jowling, corners of mouth falling, and neck skin falling. Our Botox neck lift not only targets the platysma bands, but will help to keep the jawline up and in. Botox for Neck Bands. (Because if the neck looks different than the face, it can look like “work” has been done.)
And finally, many clients add on our Botox Microdose for Chest Wrinkles to their existing plan, in order to improve the appearance of their decolletage.
These are ways we use Botox for aesthetics. But additionally, we have used Botox to retrain muscles, including treating patients with Bell’s Palsy, muscle spasms, and tension headaches. Improving people’s lives in this way truly makes for a Happy Botox Day.
