LISA GOODMAN, PA
Founder & CEO
Founder of GoodSkin™ Clinics and the patented GoodSkin™ Method, Lisa Goodman is a pioneer in science-based, anti-aging aesthetics. Since the opening of her first clinic in Brentwood, Los Angeles, in 2015, Lisa has helped thousands of clients - including a loyal following that includes some of today’s most recognizable faces - achieve healthier, youthful and more natural versions of themselves – what GoodSkin defines as “The Untouched Look”.
After earning a Bachelor’s in nutrition and then a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies, Lisa spent 10 years as a PA alongside some of this country’s most celebrated cosmetic surgeons and dermatologists, with a focus on helping older women who suffered from severe acne and rosacea. In 2013 she traveled to Europe to continue her professional journey. It was in France and Switzerland where she witnessed a different approach to cosmetic science, one that employed a more subtle and natural aesthetic along with treatment plans tailored to each individual. These treatments took a holistic view of the patient, from their genetics and family history to lifestyle and other environmental factors. This European sensibility was not driven by trends or fads, but rather by what delivered the most optimal results in each patient.
Upon returning to California, Lisa founded GoodSkin™ Los Angeles, and opened the door to a whole new age in aesthetics. By combining the European methodology with the innovations available in the States, and rooting them in a deep understanding of the science of aging, GoodSkin™ gave hope to those in search of more natural results. Since 2015 Lisa and GoodSkin™ have continued to stay on the forefront of the latest treatments and technologies, such as Renuva, for which Lisa is a national trainer. As evidenced by her features in numerous publications - most recently Forbes and the New York Times - Lisa and GoodSkin™ will continue to redefine this industry and make a positive impact on an ever-growing list of clients everywhere.
The impact and impression GoodSkin™ made on this one-time client was so significant that she eventually joined the team. With a B.A. in Art History and Archaeology from UC Irvine, and a B.S. in Nursing from Concordia University, Christina brings the perfect blend of art and science to the clinic. She has worked in Oncology and Neurology at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX, where she lived after that initial experience at GoodSkin™ Los Angeles. Since that first visit she had developed a keen interest in aesthetics and began a more formal pursuit of the practice. After looking at other clinics she found nothing that inspired her as much as GoodSkin™ or offered the same quality results.
In her free time, Christina enjoys decorative arts, reading, camping in a vintage trailer and spending time with a family that includes her husband, two children, a cat, gekko and several fish.
Maria’s nursing education began at the University of Michigan where she was named the Jane Bowler-Sweet Memorial Scholar for the class of 2011 and awarded a full-ride scholarship. Upon graduation, Maria followed through with her dream to move to Manhattan where she worked with some of the most prestigious dermatologists in New York City. It was there that Maria found her love for dermatology, aesthetics, and research in both fields. Maria’s work was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatology and Therapy in 2014 and 2015. She presented her findings at the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists and American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine annual conferences in Las Vegas and Montreal.
In 2015, Maria joined the dermatology and reconstructive plastic surgery teams at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to use her skills to give back to the oncology community. Maria was published in Advances in Oncology Nursing in March 2017, and again later that year after managing hundreds of patients for dermatologic conditions caused by EGFR inhibitor chemotherapies in Nursing Clinics. During this time, Maria was enrolled in the graduate level nursing program at Drexel University and graduated in 2019 as a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.
Since achieving this milestone, Maria has found a passion for teaching as a National senior trainer for several of our in-house surgical and non-surgical dermal devices. It was during this stage of her career that she found Goodskin Clinics. Although she has trained hundreds of clinics across North America, she could not find another like it. In stark contrast to the paint-by-number approach in typical medspas, Maria fully believes in the Goodskin approach and 6-step method.
Outside of her labor of love, Maria enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking with her husband, arts and crafts, organizing like Marie Kondo, taking trips to her home state of Michigan, and visiting her family in Crete.
Cultivating her clinical skills during nursing school and refining her eye for aesthetics at GoodSkin allows for a unique skill set to help clients on their journey with an integrative and balanced approach.
