After opening the Los Angeles clinic in 2015, our founder, Lisa Goodman, began traveling every three months to New York City to treat private clients there. But after seeing her client list grow, she started searching for a location for an East Coast branch. The NYC GoodSkin clinic opened in 2019 in downtown Manhattan’s NoHo neighborhood.
Before one enters the serene treatment rooms enclosed in frosted glass and is offered various San Pellegrino waters from a well-stocked refrigerator, a front area and consultation offices set a modern yet luxurious tone. Subtly striated white marble surfaces create clean lines that set off a few mid century-inspired pieces. The treatment chairs even have beautiful lines and luxe comfort.
You might feel more like you’re in a boutique hotel than a skin care clinic or medi spa.
You’ll also find displayed the skin care lines that go through Lisa’s arduous standards and often aren’t widely known, including Biologique Recherche and Elta MD. Additionally, we proudly display some of our wonderful press by everyone from Vogue and W Magazine to the New York Times along our walls.
One of our team members that you are sure to meet at our New York office is client Advocate Elle Dumiter. Elle’s clinical skills, acquired during nursing school, and refined eye for aesthetics give her a unique skill set to help clients on their journey. Her expertise allows for an integrative and balanced approach. She has always been passionate about caring for others—which is evident in the organizations she is part of, including New York Cares and the Jewish National Federation. Continually looking to improve her skills here at GoodSkin, Elle is now working toward a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP), the highest degree for practice-based nurses.

As we mentioned above, our founder Lisa regularly travels to the New York clinic to treat clients. But our full-time Manhattan board-certified Nurse Practitioner is Maria Mekas. Maria has worked with some of the most prestigious dermatologists in New York City, including the dermatology and reconstructive plastic surgery teams at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. It was there that she discovered her love for dermatology, aesthetics, and research in both fields. She then taught as a National Senior Trainer on surgical and non-surgical dermal devices, training hundreds of clinics in these technologies. It was then that she found her home at GoodSkin, resonating with our clinic’s approach and 6-step method. Maria is incredible.
