Chances are you’ve heard of some of the facial and body sculpting injectables that are being used today with much success. But you likely don’t know exactly what each one does or how they work. So today we’ll do a primer on the contouring products we use the most at GoodSkin™ Clinics.
Let’s start small. You know those small areas of unwanted fat on your face or body that just don’t respond to diet and exercise? Kybella sculpting is an effective injectable that works wonders in reducing pockets of unwanted fat. For example, if you’re looking for a double chin treatment, Kybella is the only injectable scientifically approved for chin fat removal.
Its active ingredient is synthetic deoxycholic acid. This acid molecule naturally occurs in the body, with the purpose of breaking down and absorbing dietary fat. We are able to use it to dissolve small areas of targeted body fat.
Sculptra is sometimes called the “liquid face lift.” If you have facial volume loss or need mild lifting, Sculptra can create a fuller, more youthful face. This FDA-approved filler stimulates collagen production. It’s more than just a wrinkle filler—although it works great for that too. Sculptra can smooth lines, add volume, and improve skin. It can also remove chest wrinkles. Sculptra is a synthetic version of poly-L lactic acid, which our muscles produce when we exercise.
Accutite Face & Body Contouring
Accutite Face & Body Contouring is used to do what filler cannot. Accutite (and FaceTite) allows us to tighten skin and reduce fat using energies administered via a very small cannula. Because of our legacy of experience here at GoodSkin™, we are able to use higher energies, allowing better tightening results than with lower-energy treatments.
Accutite is great for the jowls—that little pocket of fat that falls from the deep cheek compartment of the face, caused by sagging skin. Results take 3–6 months to see, as that’s how long it takes the body to form new collagen and to tighten skin.
Morpheus8 RF Microneedling
Morpheus8 RF Microneedling is a laser treatment that employs a combination of radio frequency and microneedling to penetrate deep into layers of skin and stimulate collagen and elastin production. While a matrix of ultra-thin needles at a depth of up to 4mm, radiofrequency energy heats the layers of skin. Treatments last from 15 to 45 minutes. After three days, clients report brighter and more radiant skin. After 30 days, we see tighter and less crepey skin. It’s important to know that if you are doing Morpheus body you want to be using the blue hand piece . It is a special , deeper and more effective
If you are looking for a safe, non-invasive alternative to a face lift, try our Ulthera laser treatment, also called Ultherapy. It’s the only FDA-approved treatment for lifting skin on and around the neck, chin and eyebrows and chest area. Ultherapy uses microfocused ultrasound to tighten skin. Combined with laser skin tightening, our Ulthera laser treatment provides some of the benefits of a face lift without having to go under the knife. We also use it to tighten skin on the decollete. Ultherapy is the most technician dependent laser in our clinics which is why we only let our most experienced practitioners use this laser. Because the ultrasound is a dynamic reading done minute to minute by the practitioner ; results and good outcomes are dependent on the level of skill your practitioner has. We continue to offer ulthera and have been happy clients who previously had thought it didn’t work for them when in fact they just did not receive an expert level treatment .
At GoodSkin™ Clinics, we’re passionate about providing these highly effective face and body treatments, administered with care, expertise, and up-to-the-minute techniques. We hope we’ve helped you learn a bit about what’s available to you at our clinic.
